Requirements: The deoxidizing agent must be in a molten state during the pre-piercing of the mandrel. Strict specifications are necessary for its effectiveness.
Particle Size: The deoxidizing agent powder should typically be around 16 mesh.
Sodium Stearate Content: The content of sodium stearate in the deoxidizing agent should be over 12% to ensure sufficient combustion within the seamless steel pipes's inner cavity.
Spraying Quantity: The amount of deoxidizing agent to be sprayed should be determined based on the inner surface area of the tube, generally between 1.5 to 2.0 g/dm虏. Different diameters and lengths of seamless steel pipes require different amounts of deoxidizing agent.
Blowing Pressure: This should be adjusted according to the tube's diameter and length to ensure thorough cleaning and complete combustion without any unburned deoxidizing agent being blown out.
Blowing Time: Adjust the blowing time based on the tube's diameter and length, ensuring no suspended metal oxides are blown out from the seamless steel pipes.
Nozzle Height: Adjust the nozzle height based on the tube's diameter to ensure proper centering. Clean the nozzle once per shift and remove it for cleaning after extended downtimes. Use a selection device and rotating air pressure at the deoxidizing agent blowing station to ensure even coverage on the seamless steel pipes's inner wall.
Lubrication Effectiveness: Poor mandrel lubrication or low temperature of the mandrel lubricant can lead to internal scarring.
Temperature Control: To improve mandrel temperature, employ a single cooling water method. During production, strictly control the mandrel temperature, ensuring the mandrel surface temperature is between 80-120掳C before spraying the lubricant. The mandrel temperature should not exceed 120掳C for prolonged periods to ensure the lubricant dries and adheres properly before pre-piercing. Operators should frequently check the mandrel's lubrication condition.
